Largest Single-Unit Capacity User-Side Energy Storage Station in Our City Completed

In order to thoroughly implement the national policies on the development of a new power system and green industrial upgrading, after undergoing civil construction, equipment installation, and power grid commissioning, the 40MW/120MWh energy storage station of Lianyungang Yaxin Steel, located in the Guannan Port-adjacent Industrial Area, has recently been completed. This energy storage station is the largest single-unit capacity user-side energy storage project in our city to date.

It is reported that the energy storage station consists of multiple containerized lithium iron phosphate smart storage products, with a rated total output power of 40 megawatts and a total capacity of 120 megawatt-hours. It can adjust parameters and flexibly switch charging and discharging modes in a timely manner according to the peak electricity price policy, effectively shifting a large amount of peak electricity load through "peak shaving and valley filling" each year. This can effectively cope with the pressure during peak summer and winter electricity demand, significantly improving the operational efficiency and power supply stability of the power system. The commissioning of the energy storage station can save considerable electricity costs for the enterprise annually, enhance energy efficiency while reducing costs, and play a positive role in promoting the development of a new power system and green industrial upgrading in the region.

Promoting comprehensive energy reform and innovation in the region is an important foundation for achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. In recent years, Guannan County has been oriented towards "product high-endization, equipment intelligence, process modernization, efficiency greenization, and production digitalization", and has continuously promoted industrial transformation and upgrading based on local conditions and comprehensive utilization. Efforts have been made to build a new energy industry development system in Guannan County, with a series of solar thermal equipment and wind power facility projects thriving, injecting new vitality into the county's economic development. The Guannan Port-adjacent Industrial Area will fully support the energy storage station to operate at full capacity, providing stable and clean energy support for Guannan County's economic development, continuously improving the county's new energy industry development system, extending the industrial chain, enhancing the value chain, and adding new momentum to the county's green industry development.
