Yesterday morning, with the long whistle of a train, the first cross-border multi-modal intermodal transport train connecting Lianyungang and Almaty, which was composed of 50 large containers full of cross-border commercial vehicles, slowly departed from the China-Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Cooperation Base. The China-Europe Railway Express train will arrive in Almaty after 7 days.

It is known that the cross-border commercial vehicles on this train were transported to the port by roll-on/roll-off shipping, loaded into containers, and then sent to Central Asia for distribution by the Lianyungang China-Europe Railway Express train. In recent years, the roll-on/roll-off business of Lianyungang Port has continued to develop, and the production data has been refreshed year by year. In the first four months of this year, the transportation of transit vehicles in Lianyungang Port exceeded 2,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 232%.
